Bro. John Michael Reynolds having been Installed as the Worshipful Master; by his uncle R.W. Bro. J. David Innes, he was invested with the same apron his uncle had been invested with, almost forty-five and a half years earlier on December 27th 1971. As R.W. Bro. Innes was D.D.G.M. for the Nickel Lodge Centennial Year, he didn't have a guilded apron. In the above photo, is the apron and gavel presented to W. Bro. J.M. Reynolds.

Nickel Lodge's Project in recognition of 300 years of Freemasonry

In 2016, a local 4-H group started a Community Garden at the Westmount Community Center. They recently won a Sudbury Youth Civic Award for its creation and their commitment to volunteering and civic engagement. In 2017, Bro. John Leonard (on the right), as shown in these photos with Bro. Angus Morris (on the left), bought a $100 community group garden bed in the name of Nickel Lodge as a 300 year Anniversary project. The growing has been a great success with harvest items like zucchini, radishes and lettuce all being donated to the Blue Door Soup kitchen. The harvest continues and they are hoping to get carrots, onions and turnips soon.
